musical, 'Disney's Beauty and the Beast', to be staged in Malaysia for the
first time ever! 'Disney's Beauty and the Beast – The Broadway Musical' will
be brought to Malaysia by Yvents! and presented by CIMB Bank and will be
staged from 24th June – 3rd July 2008 at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur
Convention Center. Seen by over
25 million people, one of the biggest musicals of all time brings to life
the beloved “tale as old as time” with a burst of theatrical magic. Disney’s
take on the classic fairy tale follows the story of a small-town girl Belle
who is taken prisoner by a reclusive Beast, who is actually a human prince
under a spell. Within the confines of the Beast’s castle, the both
eventually learn about the true meaning of love and friendship together with
the Beast’s league of enchanted household objects. However, desperately
vying for Belle’s affections is the vain and arrogant huntsman Gaston.
Nominated for nine Tony awards including
Best Musical, this breathtaking musical has been wowing audiences world-wide
with record breaking runs in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Sydney, Tokyo,
and London’s West End.
And now the magic of this spectacularly
staged smash-hit musical produced by UK Productions Ltd is finally coming to
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in June 2008 for a strictly limited run.
